Nova Solid in Season Opener

SEATTLE -- Rutgers quarterback Gary Nova led his team to victory behind one of the stronger offensive performances of his career. The senior passed for 281 yards on 16-of-27 passing to help the Scarlet Knights return home with a 41-38 victory.

Seattle -- There were plenty of opportunities for Gary Nova to revert to show his other side in a shootout, 41-38, victory for Rutgers, but the senior stayed focused and bounced back from an early interception.

Nova came nowhere near Washington State's Connor Halliday statistically, except for the one that matters -- victory.

Fueled by his return as a starter and a memorable west coast lost in 2013, Nova threw for 281 yards and two touchdowns.
