Rutgers TE Commit Set for Senior Season

TENAFLY, N.J. -- Rutgers tight end commit Nakia Griffin spoke with Scout.com after his Thursday scrimmage about the start of his senior year. Griffin was the second New Jersey commitment in the class and will be back on campus next week for the big battle with Penn State.

Tenafly's Nakia Griffin made his Rutgers commitment shortly after receiving an offer in the spring. The 6-foot-3 tight end faced off against future teammate Michael Dare in his final preseason tuneup Thursday.

Griffin line sup at receiver and defensive end for Tenafly, and caught four passes for 41 yards in a limited role. He opens his season Friday against Old Tappan (N.J.) Northern Valley Regional.
