Video Recap: Rutgers Crumbles Late

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Scout's Brian Dohn and Sam Hellman break it down from the 50-yard line after the Scarlet Knights failed to step up in the moment. Rutgers blew a 10-point halftime lead and head into Navy hurting emotionally and looking for answers offensively.

As quickly as the Rutgers offense found its stride, it was gone. The explosive Scarlet Knights and improved Gary Nova that showed up in the first two games was nowhere to be seen when he was needed to lead a victory over Penn State.

Nova's five interceptions and the offense's inability to move the ball with a 10-point lead gave Christian Hackenberg enough to bounce back from a poor start to the game.

At 2-1 and hurting after the loss, the toughest stretch of the season is fast approaching for the Scarlet Knights and coach Kyle Flood.
