JPO Getting Ready for Blackout

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Julian Pinnix-Odrick saw his biggest role to date last week when starter Djwany Mera went down midway through the 31-6 win over Tulane. Pinnix-Odrick spoke 1-on-1 with Scout.com about the opportunity moving forward against Michigan and the latest on the Rutgers defensive line.

Forget the chance at his first career start. Defensive end Julian Pinnix-Odrick is more excited to be on the field when the third down music hits in a packed, blacked out High Point Solutions Stadium.

Pinnix-Odrick works in a deep defensive line rotation as both a defensive end and interior pass rusher. If starter Djwany Mera is unable to go (probable on this week's injury report), that job falls to Pinnix-Odrick to start and Quanzell Lambert to back him up.
