Pollock Picks Rutgers

Orlando (Fla.) Dr. Phillips 2016 linebacker Jonathan Pollock made use of his pregame time at Rutgers by verbally committing to coach Kyle Flood in his office. One of many prospects in attendance for the Rutgers "blackout" game against Michigan, the three-star linebacker becomes the second 2016 commitment to the Scarlet Knights.

It was a good sign for Rutgers when three-star linebacker Jonathan Pollock quickly booked a return trip for Saturday's game against Michigan.

Pollock left Orlando at 4:30 a.m. to be on campus before kickoff, and used the time to verbally commit to coach Kyle Flood in his office.

"It's a family atmosphere that can't be beat," Pollock said on his decision. "I love everything that coach Flood represents. He's a teacher, and I can't wait to play for him."

Pollock becomes the second 2016 commitment to the Scarlet Knights. He plans to enroll for January of 2016 for spring practice.

"It's exciting," he said. "I can't wait to get here as an early graduate. I'm enrolling early just like Ted Field. We're going to live together, and it's awesome."
