PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Andrew Turzilli and Leonte Carroo, a pair of receivers who played high school ball in New Jersey, were key contributors in Rutgers' 26-24 win against Michigan.
Andrew Turzilli won six games and caught two touchdowns passes in parts of three seasons at Kansas, and the most games the Jayhawk won in a season was three.
After catching touchdown passes of 80 and 14 yards as Rutgers
26-24 Saturday, Turzilli has six catches for 278 yards and three scores this season.
Furthermore, with Rutgers at 5-1 (1-1 Big Ten), he already surpassed his win total in any season in Lawrence, Kan.
Meanwhile, Leonte Carroo now leads the Big Ten in receiving yards with 548 after he caught four passes for 73 yards against the Wolverines.
Following the win, both players spoke about their success, and winning in their home state.
