Video: Flood Talks Freshman Development

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- The freshmen came into focus during the Rutgers bye week with the chance to work outside of the scout team. Head coach Kyle Flood spent the final bye week practice discussing the younger players in development, including quarterback Hayden Rettig and the move of Josh Hicks to safety.

Rutgers had no scout team during its bye week after hitting 5-1 against Michigan. This allowed for the red-shirting players and developmental men on the roster to get a chance under the spotlight of the coaching staff.

Flood addressed the development of many key players, including quarterback Hayden Rettig, safety Josh Hicks and running back Robert Martin.
