PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers broke in a new center this week in sophomore Chris Muller, who made the move because of injury concerns with starter Betim Bujari. Muller, two practices in as a center, broke down the move with Scout.com after practice. He met the change with a mixture of confidence and comedy in discussing the situation with the media.
Chris Muller plans on helping wherever he can as a starter Saturday against Ohio State and more than 100,000 voices providing crowd noise.
Muller split work with Derrick Nelson at center Tuesday, and confidence will not be an issue for the inexperienced snapper if it comes to that on Saturday. Muller, after joking that he will draw on his experience as a 7-year old, broke down why his role at center is not much different than what he already does as the starting right guard for the Scarlet Knights.
Should the questionable Betim Bujari improve by kickoff, Muller jumps back to right guard. Muller broke it all down Tuesday after practice.
