The recruitment of Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep 2016 defensive tackle Bo Peek has gone national. Adding offers from both Rutgers and Stanford in the last week, things are becoming exciting for the 6-foot-3 junior standout.
Rutgers is a new offer for Peek, but not a new school of interest based on his conversations with defensive line coach Jim Panagos and defensive coordinator Joe Rossi, who visited Berkeley Prep last week.
“[I] love [Panagos] he's a really cool guy we have a ton in common so I can definitely see him coaching me one day,” Peek said. “I was super excited about it I've been talking to coach Panagos for weeks now and have built a good relationship they are having an unbelievable season thus far.”
Will Peek consider Rutgers?
“Absolutely,” he said.
Peek plans to continue his research of Rutgers, and look at a visit down the road.
“Great conference, great coaching staff and an up-rise in the football program,” Peek said. “They are going to be contenders the next couple years and more so in the future. ... Aside from that, [Rutgers has] great academics so it's really an all-around school.”
