PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Julian Pinnix-Odrick of Rutgers and Darius Slade of Ohio State have plenty of catching up to do Saturday as cousins and Big Ten defensive ends. Both out of Montclair (N.J.) High School, Pinnix-Odrick and Slade have a close relationship off the field, creating another reason for excitement when the Scarlet Knights take on the Buckeyes.
There is no trash talk in the family this week, but a high level of anticipation for Rutgers and its road trip to Ohio State.
Rutgers sophomore Julian Pinnix-Odrick and Ohio State freshman Darius Slade, both defensive ends, are cousins eager to represent their respective schools in the Big Ten. Pinnix-Odrick is a co-starter this year with Slade likely headed for a red-shirt, but both will be on the sidelines Saturday at the home of the Buckeyes.
Pinnix-Odrick spoke about his relationship with Slade during the week, as well as the challenge presented to the Rutgers defense by OSU quarterback J.T. Barrett.
