TJ Taylor Believes He is Ready to Contribute

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Red-shirt freshman T.J. Taylor finally feels like a linebacker, and believes he is ready to show it if his number gets called. Taylor saw extra work during the bye week behind starter Steve Longa, and spoke 1-on-1 with ScarletReport.com about what the move from safety has been like in his second year with the Scarlet Knights.

T.J. Taylor knew he had to get bigger and stronger when moving to weakside linebacker. That process is well underway after gaining more than 20 pounds since his initial arrival at Rutgers.

Taylor moved from safety to linebacker during his freshman season. He has playing experience off the bench in multiple games this season, and said he will be ready to go if called upon in a more significant role in the final stretch of the season.
