Receivers Carroo, Grant Making Impact

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Leonte Carroo and Janarion Grant played key roles in a 25-point comeback and 41-38 victory over Maryland Saturday at Capitol One Field. The receiver tandem combined for 421 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns. They broke it down with Scarlet Report outside the locker room after the game.

It was business as usual for Leonte Carroo, who hit two historic milestones Saturday in the win over Maryland.

Carroo's two touchdown receptions tied him with tight end Marco Battaglia as the school's season record-holder. Carroo's 104 receiver yards put him into the 1,000-yard club at Rutgers -- a group that includes Mohamed Sanu, Tim Brown and Kenny Britt.

For Janarion Grant, the sophomore's game is a sign of things to come -- he hopes. Grant's 317 all-purpose yards include a 71-yard kick return, a career-high 105 receiving yards and a jet sweep for 24 yards and a first down.

Both impact receivers broke it down with Scarlet Report after the game with a chance to add to their season numbers in a bowl game. Carroo's 19 career touchdowns make him one away from Brown's school record.
