Daniels: Loss to St. Francis Means Changes

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers used three guards with a strong second-half outburst from Bishop Daniels. But his 12 points were not enough in a game Rutgers let escape. A frustrated Daniels spoke in the Rutgers locker room about the changes coming from Saturday's wake-up call loss to St. Francis.

Rutgers built a 16-point lead against St. Francis, and then the roster went to sleep. Dubbed "lax" by guard Bishop Daniels as the problem in a 73-68 loss, the junior college transfer expects it to be a wake-up call for the Scarlet Knights.

As a team we’ve got to be hungry on defense,” said Daniels. “Right now it’s looking like we’re lackadaisical. That’s heart right here. We’ve got to step it up and man up.”
