Williams Role Expanding as Big Ten Looms

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Mike Williams scored a career-high Tuesday night at the RAC, and remains a starting guard as Big Ten play approaches. Williams and the Scarlet Knights face Monmouth Sunday in the final game of non-conference pay.

Mike Williams stepped up for Bishop Daniels during a mid-season injury, and remained as the starter. Williams' role increased as he and Myles Mack built on-court chemistry.

Williams scored a career-high 22 points in the pre-Christmas blowout over Sacred Heart. He heads to Monmouth Sunday with Rutgers as the Scarlet Knights close out non-conference play.
