Rutgers wrestlers Anthony Ashnault and Andrew Campolattano wrestled well despite a 27-9 loss to No. 1 Iowa Friday night at the RAC. Both victorious individually, the pair of Scarlet Knights broke down what they saw in the first Big Ten conference match in program history.
Red-shirt freshman Anthony Ashnault gave Rutgers its first and only lead over Iowa with a victory over fifth-ranked Josh Dziewa at 141 pounds Friday at the RAC.
Six matches later, Andrew Campolattano gave Rutgers its final win over the night in his debut as a Scarlet Knight.
Through Rutgers fell 27-9 to No. 1 Iowa in front of a record crowd, many wrestlers showed bright spots. Both Ashnault and Campolattano addressed it at the end of the night.
