Scout TV: Justin Goode Talks Early Enrollment

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers adds another practice player this week in guard Justin Goode. One third of the early signing period in 2014, Goode was a full qualifier out of high school, and moved into his college role for the spring semester at Rutgers. Red-shirting this semester but available for practice, Goode spoke with Scarlet Report about his transition to college hoops.

Rutgers coach Eddie Jordan does not yet have Justin Goode for games, but the newly-enrolled freshman brings a dynamic jump shot to practices.

"It's a wonderful thing to see," Jordan said on Goode's jumper. "It's good that he's here. He loves it here. Academically, he's going to get initiated. He's going to find things around campus. He's going to be ahead of the game."

Star forward Kadeem Jack followed a similar path in early enrollment, and is an impact player and team captain as a fifth-year senior.

"Kadeem made great strides from his sophomore to junior year, and we hope that [Goode] does the same thing," Jordan said. "It was wonderful to see him shoot the ball and compete. He knows how to get around the court. He has a good IQ."
