Spring Practice Returns to Rutgers

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers coach Kyle Flood returned to his Hale Center podium Friday to usher in another spring practice on campus. Flood offered the latest news on injuries, depth chart changes and the quarterback competition during a 14-minute session with the media.

Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood ushered in another spring Friday with his first press conference of the 2015 spring campaign.

The Headline -- As spring practice approaches its beginning for Rutgers, Flood gave his first injury update since the end of the 2014. Backup left tackle Zack Heeman is out for spring and Flood announced limitations for running back Paul James, defensive end Quanzell Lambert and cornerbacks Anthony Cioffi and Nadir Barnwell.

Flood released his spring depth chart, where fans can view inside.

Worth Noting -- Keep an eye on two position changes when it comes to the Rutgers defensive line. Junior Julian Pinnix-Odrick moved full time to the three-technique, where he checks in behind Darius Hamilton. Linebacker Myles Nash is the latest to move to the R position from linebacker. He follows in the footsteps of teammate Quanzell Lambert to the position.

Quote of the Day -- “It's a big change, but I love it so far. It's definitely not California though. That's for sure." -- linebacker Isaiah Johnson.

Now sit back and take in Flood’s press conference.
