Vallone Settles In As Assistant Coach

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Former Rutgers star Scott Vallone is in his second month as a graduate assistant with his alma mater. Working alongside defensive line coach Jim Panagos, Vallone discussed his transition into the coaching world and return to New Jersey.

The return home for Scott Vallone is a welcome one. Through three practices as the assistant defensive line coach, the former Rutgers standout is in his comfort zone alongside head coach Kyle Flood and defensive line coach Jim Panagos.

"It's great to be back to a place that's familiar, a place that I call home with a lot of people I'm familiar with," Vallone said. "Coach Panagos and coach Flood, obviously coach Flood recruited me and coach Panagos was my coach my senior year. It's good to be back in familiar territory."
