Bah Adds Birthday Offer

Brooklyn (N.Y.) Grand Street Campus receiver Ahmed Bah picked up a heck of a birthday present Friday when he received a verbal scholarship offer from Rutgers. Bah spoke with Scout about the offer, and the meaning of education in his recruitment.

Rutgers coach Kyle Flood made it a birthday to remember for Brooklyn (N.Y.) Grand Street Campus receiver Ahmed Bah, who left High Point Solutions Stadium Friday with a scholarship offer.

Bah picked up an offer during the spring game while in attendance with coaches and teammates.

"I've been waiting for this for a while now," said Bah, who also visited for junior day. "I really like Rutgers, so I was really excited when I got it."

Bah will be at Rutgers over night, and his parents are set to meet with coach Kyle Flood tomorrow about the offer. Bah, however, said he wants to take time before a commitment to any school.

"I like the academics at Rutgers," he said. "When I first came there, they focused first on the academics. I liked the school part. That's big because my father puts that in my head every day. He likes Rutgers too because it's close."

Bah recently added a Connecticut offer as well, and is one of many at Grand Street with big college opportunities.

Grand Street as a pair of 2015s headed to Rutgers in defensive tackle Kamaal Seymour and defensive back Alex Badine. Class of 2016 receiver Taysir Mack holds multiple BCS offers, including Rutgers.

"We have chemistry already, so that would be a great time if I went to Rutgers," Bah said.
