Coleman Talks Latest with Rutgers

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Rutgers remains a hot topic for Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic receiver Gene Coleman. After a junior day in which Coleman named Rutgers a top school, he spoke with Scout about where the Scarlet Knights stand heading into spring evaluation.

Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic receiver Gene Coleman remains high on Rutgers after his junior day visit, but does not have an active leader in his recruitment.

"I feel really good about Rutgers," Coleman said. "They're definitely up there -- one of my top schools. I don't have a list or anything, but they're definitely up there. I have a good connection with their coaches and a lot of other recruits they're trying to bring in."

Coleman has been a visitor at schools that include N.C. State and Penn State, and hopes to make a decision by the start of his senior season.

"I think things are going really well," Coleman said. "A couple of schools have been down in the past couple of weeks once everything got started up again. I've had a lot of coaches talk to me on Twitter and stuff. It's pretty exciting."
