Decision Approaches for Russo

PITMAN, N.J. -- Warminster (Pa.) Archbishop Wood three-star quarterback Anthony Russo is close to a decision as his junior year approaches its close. Russo spoke with Scout about the details of his decision and the schools involved during the NLG 7-on-7 tournament in South Jersey.

Anthony Russo is a high proiorty target at multple schools, and one of them solidifies its quarterback situation come June.

The Warminster (Pa.) Archbishop Wood state champion and three-star prospect plans to decide within the next month and announce his decision in front of friends and family at his school.

"I'm looking to commit probably early to middle June," Russo said. "That's the plan right now, but I'm going to see how many visits I can take time-wise and see where I'm comfortable and how many visits it takes for me to be comfortable enough to commit to a school."

Rutgers was the first BCS offer for Russo, who picked it up during a junior day visit. He will be back on campus next week for a deeper look, where he has friends in Brandon Arcidiacono, Nick Arcidiacono and Desmon Peoples.

"I have a great relationship with them," Russo said. "They're always coming back to Wood to work out and see how everyone's doing. I'm always talking to them about Rutgers."

Connecticut and Temple are also in line for visits. Virginia and North Carolina showed increased interest during spring evaluation should either decide to take a second quarterback in its class.
