Palmyra (N.J.) 2016 receiver Kelvin Harmon continues to pick up interest with an impressive spring of 7-on-7 work and evaluation workouts at his school.
The Scarlet Knights – Harmon’s first offer – remain his leader.
“I just feel like I’m at home when I go there,” Harmon said. “It’s comfortable for me, and I know I could fit in there with the players and the coaches.”
Harmon most recently visited campus during the first weekend of May. He spent the evening with active roster members and other top South Jersey targets Ahmir Mitchell, Ron Johnson, Brad Hawkins and Jamal Holloway.
“It’s going great with Rutgers,” he said. “I went up with a couple of the guys, and we just talked about what it would be like if we all went there together and dominated.”
Harmon has the in-state school in the lead, but wants to explore as many options as possible before a decision.
The exploration continues next week when Harmon visits North Carolina and N.C. State during a trip with his 7-on-7, Next Level Greats teammates.
“They’ve both visited, and I could get those offers if I visited,” Harmon said. “I’m looking forward to seeing the differences from up here [in New Jersey]. I want to meet with the coaches, and check out the facilities at some different places.”
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound receiver holds seven offers heading into the end of the spring evaluation period.
“It’s very cool,” Harmon said. “It’s a blessing to have the kind of opportunity I’m getting. I’m excited to check them out.”
