Fleet-Davis played both running back and slot receiver during an impressive morning in front of Rutgers coaches.
“I play some receiver and running back, and they said they like that,” Fleet-Davis said. “They can just move me right into the slot if they change packages. I don’t have to get off the field for someone else. Offensive like that most about me.”
Fleet-Davis did not tour the campus, but said he will be back within the next two months for an in-depth look.
“I was just out there having fun,” he said. “I enjoyed the camp. It was a nice campus. It’s big. It’s really big and I like that. They said they’re going to show me a lot more when I come back down. It’s either going to be for a game this season or for their training camp.”
The 5-foot-11, 205-pound back ran for a team-high nine touchdown as a sophomore. He also logged 443 yards from scrimmage.
“NC State is definitely nice,” he said. “They have a nice environment, and I had a good tour when I went around there. There’s a lot to like.
“West Virginia is good too, but I didn’t get to see the campus as much as I wanted to, but it was OK. I like them.”
