Watch: QB Chris Laviano Talks Suspension

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Sophomore Chris Laviano faces a half-game suspension following rule vilations, which makes Hayden Rettig the default starter at quarterback. Laviano owned up to his actions in a brief press conference after Tuesday's practice.

Suspended for the first half of the Norfolk State game, Chris Laviano violated team rules and carried fake identification during a curfew violation.

The Rutgers sophomore quarterback loses the battle with Hayden Rettig because of his suspension. He took questions on the digressions during his first post-practice availability of training camp.

"I just made a poor decision," Laviano said. "... I just made a bad decision and I'm not going to do it again."
