Scout TV New, Improved Paul James Ready to Go

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers running back Paul James is ready for his return to the field after a torn ACL 11 months ago against Navy. The now-team captain spoke 1-on-1 with Scout about his goals against Norfolk State.

When Paul James hits the field Saturday, his first thoughts won't be on an 11-month absense or the torn ACL he sufferred on his last play. The fifth-year senior captain has  his eyes on a 6-0 lead against Norfolk State.

"Really I'm just thinking about getting in the end zone," James said. "That's kind of my thought every play. Really, I'm focused about what I have to do that play and what my reads for getting the ball and everything. If it's a run, if it's a pass, I'm focused on what I have to do."

I would imagine Paul James would go out there for the first play, so that will make him the starter on paper," said head coach Kyle Flood  I know everybody gets excited about that.  But I don't see it that way.  I believe Josh Hicks is the starter; Robert Martin is a starter, Justin Goodwin is a starter."
