Scout TV: Hunt Ready for Big Role

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Sophomore Andre Hunt can expect multiple roles in the Rutgers defensive secondary against the high-powered Washington State offense led by coach Mike Leach.

Andre Hunt learned as many roles as possible during his first two years at Rutgers, and this week was a chance for another lesson. Hunt is a life-time running back turned safety, and he'll play in as many as three different spots Saturday against Washington State.

Rutgers is thin at both safety and cornerback following offseason turbulence and injuries. While Hunt began training camp on the third team, he stayed focused on the season and his reward is a major role against the high-powered Washington State offense.

"I'm excited about being involved with the defense and having a big role on special teams as well," Hunt said. "... Obviously we're very low [on players], so we all have to be prepared no matter what."
