Watch Rutgers QB Chris Laviano Explain Game-Ending Spike

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers quarterback Chris Laviano's final play in a 31-24 loss to Michigan State was one he wants to forget. A fourth-down spike in a Hail Mary situation, Laviano explained what went through his head and his instructions from the sidelines in an otherwise strong game for the sophomore.

Rutgers quarterback Chris Laviano threw for three touchdowns to Leonte Carroo in the loss to Michigan State, but his game-ending spike took away from the otherwise impressive performance against the tough Spartan defense.

"I think I took care of the ball well and made plays when they were there," Laviano said. "We were in a tough situation in the final seconds and it just didn’t go in our favor.”
