Rutgers coach Kyle Flood traditionally adheres to an injury report policy, but diverged from the norm with news that was too good not to share. Flood expects to have his star receiver back in soome capacity for Nebraska.
Senior Leonte Carroo (ankle) is "probable" after he missed most of the last three games.
"I won't give you the standard injury report response," Flood said. "I would say, right now Leonte is probable for the game. We feel good about him. He's been able to a lot more this week than last week. We're moving in the right direction. We're not ready to make a decision yet, but we're moving in the right direction."
Carroo saw a bigger practice role after two weeks of rest. The Rutgers offense averaged just 6.3 points per game since Carroo's initial ankle injury against Indiana.
"I don't know if it's a confidence booster, but I know this -- Leonte is one of the better players in the country," Flood said. "When you have him out there, it makes your offense better. That's for sure."
