Rutgers Monday Report: Health Concerns on Senior Day

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers coach Kyle Flood has plenty of injury concerns for Maryland game week, and discussed changes in the schedule because of it. Flood broke it all down Monday, including plenty of Senior Day reflections.

The Headline – Which Rutgers team shows up against Maryland remains in questions with massive injury concerns still present for coach Kyle Flood's program.

Rutgers released its latest injury report Monday with as many questions as last week when it comes to player availability.

Flood canceled Sunday’s practice in favor of more meeting and recovery time with Tuesday as a decisive day for injuries.

“Yesterday I felt like we were best served to be in the meeting room,” Flood said. “It's not something uncommon this late in the season. We've done that before. Wednesday is a Friday class schedule. That gives us a little bit more flexibility.”

Josh Hicks returned to running back meetings after the Army game, but Flood did not rule him out as a safety option with ongoing injury concerns for starters Anthony Cioffi and Kiy Hester.

“It's the plan as of now, but we're still working through some of the injury report,” Flood said. “I know I put one out today, but that's far from final, I would say. We'll get an update later today. We are working through the game plan and see who is available, and then have to mistake some decisions by the time we start meetings tomorrow morning.”

Worth Noting – Rutgers likely gets punter Tim Gleeson back for the 2016 season with plans to not walk on Senior Day Saturday against Maryland.

Quote of the Day – “I’m definitely playing on Saturday,” Leonte Carroo on his injury status for Senior Day.
