Two weeks ago Dan Waterstradt spent some time on the Rutgers campus and the word was that he had a good time. Well, he gave Rutgers a verbal commitment during his stay on campus and announced it yesterday at the Vegas Shootout. Waterstadt who has been a virtual no show on the summer circuit due a recurrent ankle problem is a great early get for the system that Gary Waters runs. Dan is quick on quick and can rebound and get out on the break or be part of the secondary break. His AAU coached called him a gazelle. He also possesses an outstanding perimeter shot for someone his size. He goes 6'10" and about 200 pounds and is considered the best center in Michigan's senior class and the second best insider. Just like Josh Boone or Joachim Noah, he was a underrecruited and undiscovered gem that this staff was able to hone in on.
