The first week for Rutgers coach Chris Ash included the start of a staff overhaul and an active start to recruiting. Ash hired two of his three coordinators in Vince Okruch (special teams) and Drew Mehringer (offense) and began a house-cleaning of the former Rutgers staff.
In recruiting, Ash saw de-commitments from Phil Campbell and Ahmed Bah. He was as active as possible on the recruiting trail with in-person visits to see linebacker Solomon Manning, linebacker Jonathan Pollock and running back Trey Sneed. All three finalized early enrollment plans after in-person visits.
Scout's Brian Dohn and Sam Hellman examine details of Ash's first week and what needs to happen next.
