Rutgers coach Chris Ash officially announced his new offensive line coach A.J. Blazek Thursday and has a new wide receivers coach lined up in Zak Kuhr.
"I am excited to welcome AJ to Rutgers football,” Ash said in a statement. “AJ has played in this league and knows what it takes to be successful as a player and teammate. I have known AJ for the past 15 years and watched as his career has taken off.”
Kuhr will join the staff as wide receivers coach after work as the co-offensive coordinator at JMU. Sports Illustrated first reported Kuhr, who has past experience with both offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer and Ash.
Both hires represent Ash's philosophy of young, aggressive coaches that can put in hours and work hard on the recruiting trail. Ash's offensive staff nears completition after he put Mehringer in place. The delays defensively come while the coordinator position remains vacant.null
