At 5-foot-11 and 183 pounds, running back Kaysonne Anderson recently went to summer camp at Syracuse.
"It was a really good camp," he said, "even though it was really hot (laughing). I got a chance to talk a lot to their running backs coach and it sounds very interesting. I'm just hoping for the offer from them now."
Anderson's only scholarship offer right now is from Rutgers but several schools have stayed in touch since the spring.
"Syracuse is my favorite right now," he said. "I'm really hoping they offer, like I said. Wisconsin's also strong. I'm also thinking about Virginia and Boston College big time. Then some other ones are Penn State, Notre Dame, Rutgers, and Illinois."
Anderson said he hopes to pick up more offers real soon. "A lot of schools wanted to wait to see my SAT scores and I just got them back so hopefully that'll result in a few."
In addition to the Orangemen, Anderson talked about some other programs.
"Wisconsin's had a lot of success at running back in recent years. Boston
College, I've been talking to them a lot and they also have a great running
game. Rutgers, I'm thinking highly of them. A lot of my friends go there and the
chance to play early is there. Plus they were the very first school to start
recruiting me and it's close to home."
