Rutgers Signing Day: 2016 Recruiting Class Reactions with Scout

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers finished at No. 71 in the Scout 2016 recruiting rankings after the coaching change left only eight holdovers from the previous regime. Scout national recruiting analyst Brian Dohn and Scarlet Report publisher Sam Hellman look deeper into Chris Ash's first recruiting class.

The Rutgers coaching staff saw its class ranking drop nearly 30 spots since Chris Ash accepted a job offer in December from athletic director Pat Hobbs. Ash held onto eight former Kyle Flood commitments, and he added nine prospects and two transfers of his own on National Signing Day.

Ash focused on an improved attitude and work ethic in recruiting, which  created a high-characer class in 2016. Scout national recruiting analyst Brian Dohn joins Scarlet Report publisher Sam Hellman for an insider's perspective on Ash's recruiting approach.
