Linebacker Solomon Manning made Colonia (N.J.) proud when he enrolled early at Rutgers as one of four commitments to Rutgers coach Chris Ash.
The transition to college football, however, is a challenging one for Manning after three weeks of team workouts and meetings. Manning spoke with Scarlet Report and other reporters on National Signing Day about the start of his college career.
"It's been an awesome experience," Manning said. "I'm working really hard. They're bringing the best out of me. They're making me a mature player on and off the field as well."
Manning discussed the workouts, where he enjoys the challenges he received from Kenny Parker.
"[They are] very much harder than I thought," Manning said. "They're very intense. They really teach me that I can get through anything if I put my mind to it."
