Rutgers Basketball Limps Forward Without Corey Sanders

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers tips off at Minnesota with seven scholarship players available and 6-21 record for the painful third season under coach Eddie Jordan. Scout's Brian Dohn and Sam Hellman discuss the trying season and upcoming decisions that loom for athletic director Pat Hobbs.

A 12.5-point underdog for Rutgers against Minnesota and its one Big Ten victory puts the Scarlet Knights in another rough position with star Corey Sanders suspended. Sanders, who received a two-week suspension for team rules violations, was a top contender for Big Ten Freshman of the Year.

Without Sanders, Rutgers relies heavily on the seven available scholarship players and freshman Jonathan Laurent after his 19 points and 15 rebounds against Penn State.

Scarlet Report's Sam Hellman joins Scout's Brian Dohn to look at the bigger picture and where Eddie Jordan stands after a possible winless Big Ten season.
