Rutgers Coach Chris Ash Strong in February Recruiting after Two Junior Days

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Rutgers' Chris Ash received zero commitments during a pair of junior days on campus but it did not stop the first-time head coach from a strong February in recruiting. Scout national recruiting analyst Brian Dohn and Scarlet Report publisher Sam Hellman discuss the strong points in recruiting for Ash and his staff.

Rutgers sent out more than a dozen verbal scholarship offers through two junior days and plenty of February phone calls. Head coach Chris Ash showcased new recruiting strategies for the Scarlet Knights and increased in-state activity in the build to National Signing Day 2017.

Rutgers holds a verbal commitment from Erial (N.J.) Timber Creek cornerback Naijee Jones, and positioned itself for many more this spring. Scout national recruiting analyst Brian Dohn joins publisher Sam Hellman to discuss the changes and power of positivity for Ash's first recruiting weekends as a head coach.
