Daniel Davis, DT, LB, 6-2, 250, 4.69, Plainfield HS (NJ)
The last time that I spoke to Dan he had offers from Rutgers, Nebraska and Virginia.
"Right now, UConn is showing a lot of interest and I have been talking a lot to them as well as Georgia and Maryland."
"Nebraska, Virginia, Rutgers, Georgia and Maryland"
"Virginia was nice, it was my first camp. I was staying in the dorms with the other players, it was great. They had me playing TE, RB, LB, DL and OL. After every practice they kept the top players and had them play one on one against one another. They had me in those groups a lot. We took a tour of the facility, the weight room, the locker room, the stadium, the practice field. I got to see the players working out. The facilities were beautiful. At the Rutgers camp it was the same thing. I met Eric Cumba from Don Bosco. They had me playing TE and DL. I talked to coach Schiano. He was impressed with me and things went real good."
"My feeling on all the schools are real even right now. I haven't taken any official visits. Look at what happened with Nate Robinson. I don't want to commit to a school and then take another visit and want to change my mind. I'll probably take all my visits to determine where I want to go."
"Nate Robinson was at camp when I was there. I had a feeling that that was going to happen. The Rutgers defensive line will be really good with Al Peterson, Nate and the other players that they have. It would be good to be there, it will be a good squad but I just want to wait to make sure that I make the decision that is best for me."
Last year Dan was First team All Area, All county and All Conference and Honorable Mention All State. He had 115 tackles, 78 solo, 29 tackles for losses, 4 forced fumble, 3 recovered, 11 sacks, 2 passes batted down and 1 interception.
"I probably won't make a decision until after all my visits. I'll probably decide on that on a week or two."
"I am looking forward to the season and our chances to take it all."
