Don Bosco to Rutgers: Mike Maietti is Ready for Big Ten Football

RAMSEY, N.J. -- Don Bosco Prep center Michael Maietti surprised and pleased many teammates and friends with a commitment to Rutgers in the final moments before National Signing Day. Signed to Rutgers and coach Chris Ash, the three-year starter for the Ironmen feels ready for Big Ten football.

Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep offensive lineman Michael Maietti signed with Rutgers after a late offer came through from new coach Chris Ash. Maietti was a leader on offense for the state champions, and made his family proud in the process.

A self-described Rutgers fan, Maietti spoke with Scout about his draw to the new coaching staff and similarities he sees between Ash and Don Bosco coach Greg Toal. Maietti also broke down his relationship with offensive line coach AJ Blazek and Don Bosco offensive cooridnator Mike Teel.
