Guard Nigel Johnson Ready to Play for Steve Pikiell

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Nigel Johnson transferred from Kansas State to Rutgers to play for Eddie Jordan, but after a red-shirt year and coaching change, the guard feels ready too play for Steve Pikiell. He spoke 1-on-1 with Scout about the transition.

Rutgers gets an important piece eligible in the fall when Nigel Johnson takes the court after sitting out the season.

Johnson is the only Rutgers player with a taste of the NCAA tournament, and he hopes that new coach Steve Pikiell is the man to lead the Scarlet Knights to their first dance since 1991. Johnson spoke 1-on-1 with Scout at Pikiell's ceremony about preparing for his junior year and playing with Corey Sanders.
