Rutgers freshman Najee Clayton discusses moved from safety to linebacker

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Najee Clayton moved from safety to linebacker and he spoke about that and other changes at Rutgers.

Najee Clayton was pulled out of his red-shirt season in the fall as the coaching staff desperately tried to turn around the negative momentum, but now he is starting anew.

Not only with a new coaching staff at Rutgers, but also with a new position as coach Chris Ash and his staff look to add speed and agility to the defense. Clayton said he is up to 220 pounds, and is playing strong side linebacker in the new defensive alignment.

In the video (above), Clayton spoke about his development on defense, going against Rutgers' fast-paced offense, and the attitude change brought on by the new coaching staff.
