Rutgers University landed an elite offense of lineman Tuesday in Micah Clark of St. John Vianney. Clark shows the Scarlet Knights over double digit offers and ranks as the top offensive tackle in the East region. His brother Jamaal Beaty also committed to Rutgers on Tuesday. Clark spoke first with Scarlet Report about his decision and the next step.
"It's been a long-time dream for me and him to play together throughout college and high school," Clark said. "We sat down yesterday and really talked to each other and said, 'is this what we really want to do?' We said yes."
Clark is the first No. 1 New Jersey play to commit to Rutgers since Darius Hamilton.
"They talk to us as if we're their own kids," Clark said. "They told us don't look at the past. That was the old coaches. That was the old drama that was going on. This is a new family that they're trying to build with the right players and the right attitude."
