"No Div 1A offers as of yet but Penn State, Notre Dame, Illinois, Maryland have asked for my transcripts and Ohio State has asked for my game films. I am told that schools will be looking at my first games this fall and I may be getting some offers after that. I have Div 1AA offers from Lehigh, Rhode Island and Hofstra."

"It is close to home and it is a great school for academics. I am really looking into them a lot. They have a tough schedule but I am very interested. I sent them my game tapes. It is about an hour and 45 minutes away. It is away from home but not too far from home. I like the campus. Coach Schiano sounds like a great guy, he sounds like a good coach who will turn things around."

Richie is currently a 5'10, 175 lb. (and growing), Junior, Wide Receiver / Corner Back / Running Back and Kicker, for AAA, Shamokin Area High School, Shamokin, Pennsylvania.  His Head Coach is Carmen DeFrancesco and his Strength and Conditioning Coach is his father, Rich Schiccatano (570.648.1793).  Richie is also the leading Sprinter and Long Jumper on his Track Team and in the same season, was also the designated base runner for his Varsity Baseball Team.  He had posted a 34" vertical jump, at camp this past summer and is a very, very quick, slash style runner but is also very strong and versatile and has great hands.  He had gained 1015 yards rushing last season, on 146 carries.  He is also one of the leading receivers in his league.  Richie held his regions scoring title this year, with 131 points, including, fifteen rushing TD's, two receiving TD's, sixteen extra points and three field goals (long of 45 yards).  Richie was invited and participated in a Nike Camp at Penn State this year and even with a slight hamstring injury, he posted the second best 40 time in camp.  He is actively identified on the "Pennsylvania Top 25 Juniors To Watch" and the "National Juniors To Watch" listings. He carried his team to their 11 - 2 record, which placed them at #5 in the Pennsylvania, Big Team, AAA State rankings.

" I have been working hard in the summer with my cousin Nate (red shirt freshman at Notre Dame). We were working on speed drills 5 yard, 10 yards, 40 yards, acceleration. We were working out three hours every morning. It really helped. I ran a 4.37 at the Hofstra camp and a 4.31 at the Rhode Island camp."

"I am mainly a running back but I caught some passes on screens and fades. I had 17 touchdowns last year and 2 were on pass plays out of the backfield, they try to get me the ball because of my speed. In my last game I got the ball twenty one times. In some of the camps I have been to they put at wide receiver because people can't stay with me on my first few steps."

"I have a 94.6 GPA and I am a member of the National Honor Society."
