Erial (N.J.) Timber Creek cornerback Naijee Jones on the 2017 Rutgers class...

"It's amazing to see everything, how it's transpired and all of these big-time players in Jersey [committing]. It's amazing what coach [Chris] Ash is doing."

On top New Jersey players choosing Rutgers...

"Coach Ash has a plan and his plan is working. Everything that he's doing is helping out the state of New Jersey and everybody believes in it. That's what it comes down to."

On sticking with Rutgers after a coaching change...

"Staying home, I wanted too be different. At the time everybody was going to Michigan and all of the stuff like that. I feel like Rutgers is the place for me and  now everybody else is seeing it's the place for them too."

On recruits following his lead...

"I don't take too much credit for it but some people did follow behind me. I just like it all."

On teammate Tyreek Williams enrolling at Rutgers...

"That boy is a freak, Reek the Freak, that's what they call him. It's a freak of nature right there. He's going to do his thing when he gets there, for sure."

On Everett Wormley commitment...

"He's a beast. He's a technician. I can't want to get both of us better in a friendly competition."
