Pittsburgh CB Commit Exree Loe Open to Other Options

PITMAN, N.J. -- Longtime Pittsburgh commit Exree Loe remains open to other schools after his early pledge. The Johnstown cornerback spoke with Scarlet Report about Rutgers interest and at least two upcoming camp visits.

Johnstown (Pa.) SHS three-star cornerback Exree Loe feels great about Pittsburgh but other schools are also in sight for the long-time Panther comimt.

Loe pledged to head coach Pat Narduzzi seven months ago. He is open, however, to other options now on the table.

“Everything's going well,” Loe said “I've picked up about nine offers since I committed to Pitt, so teams are still looking at me and I'm trying to show I'm a good player out there. … It's very important to explore it because I have to be sure I made the best decision for me. I have to make sure I feel at home and like a family.”

Loe named Louisville, Boston College, Toledo, Rutgers, Maryland, Iowa State and Buffalo as other schools in consideration.

He visited Rutgers during the winter and may return before a June camp circuit.

“I went down there for junior day the one time and it was good,” Loe said. “They want me to come back up but I have to make sure I'm available with my schedule. They said they want me bad. They're lacking that defensive back depth they need, so they said it would be great to get me.”

Loe said his camp season begins May 31.

Stops include Tennessee and Kentucky.

“I haven't been able to take visits because of track and what I do with my 7-on-7 team,” Loe said. “It should be good.”

Loe named graduation rate and academic opportunities as a key in his search. He stressed that he remains committed to Pittsburgh.

“Coach Narduzzi is just a good guy,” Loe said. “He used to be a defensive coordinator at Michigan State, so I know that as a head coach, his defense is there. That's' going to help me grow my game.”
