More Florida players recruited by RU

One of the top teams in South Florida last year before they had to forfeit five of their games was Central High School. The Rockets had plenty of talent on both sides of the football. This year their team may not be as highly ranked as a year ago but that does not mean they lack talent.

One player that stands out is senior wide receiver/athlete Gary Cribs. What the 5-foot-9, 150-pound Cribs lacks in size he sure makes up in speed. He runs the forty-yard dash in 4.4 seconds. He has the ability to make plays on offense, defense, and special teams.

When The Insiders recently met up with Cribs he mentioned the schools he liked most, what coaches and schools were giving him the most attention. "Pittsburgh, Louisville, Rutgers, Auburn and FAU are the schools that I like the most, they are recruiting me the hardest right now," he said.

So, which school stands out the most right now for Cribs? "Pittsburgh and Louisville are recruiting me the hardest right now."

What will be the deciding factor for Cribs? "Education is very important to me and my family as to where I go to college, a team that likes to throw the ball is also important as well," he said.

Distance is not a factor for Cribs and he will not decide on a school until he takes all of his visits.

Another standout of the Miami Central High School football team is defensive tackle Randy Hunter. At 6-foot-1, 270 pounds, Hunter has the ideal size to play the defensive tackle position. He also has solid speed with a 40-yard dash time of 4.9 seconds. He bench presses 435 and squats over 600 pounds.

Hunter's top five schools are Pittsburgh, Auburn, Rutgers, Tennessee and Florida. When we asked Hunter what coach stood out the most, here is what he had to say. "Charlie Porter is a really good coach, I like that he is a cool guy. I also like Pittsburgh because my cousin Antonio Bryant went there."

So where will Hunter take his visits to this fall? "I have a visit set for November 29th," he said. Rutgers, Auburn, Tennessee, and Florida will receive his other four official visits.

Hunter mentioned to the Insiders that distance would not be a factor; it will be where he and his family feel most comfortable. Both he and Gary Cribs want to go to the same school. Pittsburgh is definitely the leader for both players' services at this time.
