Rutgers Senior Anthony Cioffi Honest on Emotions of 78-0 Loss, "Embarrassed" and "Ridiculous"

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Anthony Cioffi felt embarrassed after a "ridiculous" 78 points allowed as a team in the loss to Michigan.

Rutgers senior Anthony Cioffi on emotions after the loss...

"[I feel] really nothing, to be honest. I just feel like I'm playing a video game and got spanked. We played hard, though. We played hard through all four quarters. I love my brothers but this is not the outcome we want."

On the three-game stretch...

"We've played half of our schedule already. We had a tough stretch, three great teams, but there's no excuse for it. You still come out and play hard. Like I said before, it wasn't the outcome we wanted."

On message from the coaches...

"Just continue to go out and play hard. You've got to put on film that you don't want to quit. It's something where it shows your heart and how you don't stop ... even when the odds are against you."

On the emotions...

"I was very embarrassed because nobody wants to have 78 points scored on them. It's like I said before, a video game. You've got to correct the things tomorrow in film and go out in practice and put it in the dirt."

On not making excuses for injuries...

"There really is no excuse for what we just put out there. I feel we played very hard as a unit but 78 points is ridiculous."
