Game Day Edition

Rutgers Football

Rutgers' offensive linemen hung out last year, too. It's just that last year was Thursday nights. For buffalo wings. And maybe a little ESPN.
A fine line

Even if this is Rutgers' most improved unit (which it has to be if the Scarlet Knights expect any kind of success), the offensive line still prompts the most uncertainty. Transfers John Glass and Ron Green soup up the athlete quotient, but neither has played a live game since 2001.

Buffalo Looks Ahead to Rutgers

For most football programs, victories over Rutgers University generally don't register a pulse north of flat line. The Scarlet Knights, by all accounts, are the kind of team you invite for homecoming fodder.
But at the University at Buffalo, a program with only six Division I-A wins, triumphs over Rutgers, or anyone else for that matter, are cause for celebration. And last year's win at Rutgers was the Bulls' lone victory of the season, and few could have predicted the outcome.

BUFFALO, NY While addressing the media at Tuesday's National Football Foundation College Football Kickoff Luncheon, UB head coach Jim Hofher expressed his desire to begin the upcoming season. It kicks off this Saturday at 7:00 p.m., when the Bulls play at Rutgers.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - At the end of last season, Penn State coach Joe Paterno and Temple coach Bobby Wallace could have joined a roundtable of hand-wringers.

I keep receiving angry emails from fans asking why I renewed the their yearly subscription since Mike and the Big Dog's will be ending operations on May 1, 2004.

The fact is that I haven't renewed anyone's subscription. Fans have just failed to cancel their subscriptions.

When fans sign up they get a notice that subscriptions automatically renew at the end of their term unless they are cancelled.

Once again, subscriptions are automatically renewed unless cancelled. We have deliberately given fans more than a year's notice of the site's departure so that they could cancel if they so wished. However, we can't cancel the subscription for you.

If you wish to cancel or not renew, go to "My Account" and log in.

Then go to "My Subscriptions" and take the necessary actions to cancel or non renew.
