Rutgers Guard Mike Williams on Going Against Former Teammate Khadeen Carrington...

It's going to be great. The last two years, it's always been fun playing against my teammate from high school. It's going to be fun going at him.”

On Brooklyn's Influence on the Garden State Hardwood Classic...

I feel like Brooklyn players are the best players in the world, and I've got to show why.”

On Previous Games Against Seton Hall...

It hasn't really been on my mind lately because this is a new season. This is a new team. I'm just ready for Friday night.”

On hearing about a sold-out game...

I figured as much. I feel like this is a new Rutgers team. I guess everybody who's our fanbase is going to support us there. It's Seton Hall. Seton Hall is always sold out at the Prudential Center.”

On Rutgers guards...

We've just got to go out there and play our game. Don't force the issue, just play Rutgers basketball.”

On Proving Something Against Seton Hall guards...

We're not really worried about that. We have a great gameplan. Me, Corey [Sanders] and Nigel [Johnson], we're just going to go in there with a chip on our shoulders and just play a great game Friday night.”

On Seeing the Buzz Around the Game...

New Jersey basketball, I feel, is back. It's not just one school. A lot of New Jersey teams are doing well this year. New Jersey basketball is back, and it's a great feeling. … Rutgers and Seton Hall is always a story. It's a rivalry game going back ever since I was in middle school. I really didn't know much about it, but down the line, I feel like that game is always going to be a story.”

On Rutgers Having a Deeper Bench...

I feel like we have one of the best benches in the country. Even though they're young, they play hard. Me being the veteran, I've just got to lead those young guys to the fight. Friday night is going to be a very tough environment. We haven't seen anything like it, but I have the confidence that they're going to do well.”
