Kuso was a standout player for the Dodan Warriors Club team, which is based in Lagos, Nigeria and competes in the Premier League. An athletic, mobile post player, Kuso averaged 15 points, 9 rebounds, and three blocked shots for the Warriors. Kuso also gained valuable experience training with the Nigerian National Team this past summer.
"Abdullahi is a terrific fit for our program," Waters added. "He is a tremendous student, a very mature young man, and an athletic post player who will help bolster our frontcourt. We have been involved with Abdullahi for some time now, and I am grateful that all of the details have been worked out and that he is now a Scarlet Knight. He is very excited to be continuing his education and basketball career in the United States at Rutgers University and we are equally excited to have him become a part of our family."
Kuso is the fourth member of the Scarlet Knights' recruiting class and joins 6-3 guard Quincy Douby (St. Thomas More Prep/Brooklyn, NY), 6-9 center Byron Joynes (Oak Hill Academy (WV)/Baltimore, MD) and 6-5 guard Marquis Webb (Paterson Catholic HS/Paterson, NJ) as members of the 2003-04 recruiting class.
